The Côte d'Armor is the perfect destination for lovers of formidable coastlines, good food and lots of new impressions

The village of Ploubazlanec is only two kilometres from Paimpol, the harbour town of the Côte de Goëllo (which runs from Saint-Brieuc to beyond Plougrescant). This is where the fishermen left from for Iceland in the late 19th and early 20th century.

The story goes that at least 2,000 men never returned from the sea, forcing the women to take the helm. References to the fishing past can still be found throughout the region. Nowadays there is still plenty of fishing, and the region is best known for its oysters, crabs, lobsters and scallops.

Cycling

There is a good reason the Tour de France ran right through the area in 2021

Cycling along the coast and through the interior is breath-taking, not in the least as a result of the various small 'cols'.
